There are a variety of possible reasons for increasing the average life expectancy in the advanced states such as USA and UK. It has been suggested that increasing standard of health is a leading cause of increasing old. For example, the curing of fatal diseases in developed countries such as tuberculosis and malaria. Another reason may be the improvement in socioeconomic status such as adequate nutrition and access to safe water. While all of this may be true, the main two reasons of increasing life expectancy in developed countries are probably because of there are no war and no famine in those states.
